Most of us could use a Do-over when it comes to prayer. We wonder how it works during the most normal of times. During a pandemic, it’s hard to find our way to prayer at all. Prayer is more than begging God to fix our problems. And prayer is meant for all of us, not just for Jesus and professional pastors. (HA!) Join us for a prayer do-over at Highlands Church this week.
“I’m not simply praying for these disciples. I’m praying also for the people who will come to believe in me because of their word. I am praying that they may all be one – just as you, father, are in me, and I in you, that they too may be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
I have given them the glory which you have given to me, so that they may be one, just as we are one: I in them, and you in me; yes they must become completely one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them just as you loved me.”
– John 17: 20-23 (NT Wright translation)
